Time flies ..

Time flies, it's the middle of September, Fall. It's certainly chilly at night here in Michigan. We had a very mild summer, it just seemed to rain alot. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I been working on some booties to give to the Cancer Center in Allen Park, I think they do treatments there. I also bought n downloaded a pattern book for BCA gifts made from plastic canvas. I hope to get more things done in the next couple of weeks. October is also the month of Halloween, my cuzin's birthday is the 31st. Luv her, though she's in NY.
I'm putting together a box of hats an scarfs for my AC4C charity mail out. I have 2 bags in my car stuffed with hats (55). I'm gonna try to drop them off at the Church on Fort n Springwells, it's just that I'm not a day person, so I haven't went. (bad me).
Last weekend I spent with my friend Beckie help to celebrate her bd. I'm gonna spend some time with her later today. I really need to do stuff in the house, but when ur here all day with a 2yr old, (I luv her) u wanna get out of the house when u have 'me' time.
I would like a 'guy' companion but no one seems interested. oh well.. I guess I'm supposed to b alone. More time to do my crafts. Time for sleep. Good Nite.

September

This week has been kinda long, the kids went back to college/school, so Nadia spends more time with me, which is kinda fun for both of us. I enjoy her and she laughs with me. Although I can hear the SpongeBob song and the Elmo songs in my sleep, it's all good.
I been workin on a few projects, I sewed a top for my friend Sylvia, has a favorite shirt we couldn't find a pattern for, so I did a pretty good job copying it, then I knitted a pair of pinkish baby booties and I also serged around a piece of Spongbob fleece for a blanket to give Nadia. She really liked her blankie.
I was at Border's Books the other evening n I was talking to one of the lady employees about my craft projects n donations. She gave me the name of a knitting group who needed scarfs' to give to the homeless so I went to the church she told me n left a bag with 6 scarfs' in it. I called her to leave a message, but haven't heard anything back. I hope she got them. In my car are 2 bags with 60 hand knit/crocheted hats for a donation. I also made 12 pairs of pink slippers for the Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, which I'm gonna take to the Cancer treatment center in Allen Park, hopefully tomorrow. I want to get some Breast Cancer material to make those 'boob pillows' mentioned in the book 'Creative Kindness' by Nany Zieman/Gail Brown of Sewing with Nancy fame. I've got all thes projects running thru my mind, but not alot of time to get things done. One day at a time. I'm grateful to b able to do what I can. Time for some sleep.

It's been a busy week, mostly spent with Nadia. She is my smile. I got been working on some hat n bootie sets and a few scarfs. Michigan weather is weird, daytime has been hot, muggy then rainy, nites have been chilly. Honestly it's miserable, I think I have a cold, chills- sneezing n my throat is sore now.
I went thru all my coupons for my fav shopping haunts,such as JoAnn Fabrics, the bookstores B&N n Borders. My list of books has deminished, but I already own a library, books r my addiction, lol. I have books my grandma gave me, can't seem to part with any. Some of my favs r Anne Rice/Vampire Chronicles, the Harry Potter set, Twilight Saga, The Complete Tightwad Gazette, a assortment of cookbooks and many many needlework books dating back to the early 40's passed down from grams'. I fear I have some 'book' collector mentality, lol. They give me peace if that's possible. Having all that knowlege is mind-blowing. yes, I'm sleepy, so I'm hitting the bed.
