I like this little Pumpkin Nadia

I luv my lil pumpkin, she's standing on my mom's porch talking to us. Cutie!

Quiet Weekend

It's been a busy week. I babysat most of it, which I enjoy. I did manage to spend some time at B&N Bookstore, visit JoAnn Fabrics an see the 6th Harry Potter movie at the dollar show. I thought it was a little dark, not as good as the other 5. I hope the last one will b better. I think my favorite one was the first, it was cute n got me hooked, lol.
Last saturday we went to Apple Charlie's orchard in New Boston, it was amazing. The weather was a kinda chilly, but it's already October, we're lucky to get anyday above 50 degress from now till March. I really hate Michigan n the weather, I only stay because I love my family.
I also got to have dinner with one of my best friends' Beckie, she's fun.
I took pics of my latest work, the blue babysweater set is for my friend Violet's daughter, having a boy next month. The pink hats r for 2 other lil princess' coming in Nov n December. This year has passed quickly. I'm kinda glad. I'm not thrilled bout getting older but that's life.
I got a few more projects in the works, plugging along.
I got the weekend off from babysitting, but still lots of work to do. :)

Ilike to Read

I think this article is informative.

http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/life/pink-overload-are-companies-taking-advantage-of-breast-cancer-awareness-month-525251/
I support the cause, but I think this article gives alot of help in decifering if these companies r just trying to sell more prodcuct or really helping this cause. I just send my donations to the organization so there's no confusion for me. :)

Pumpkin Hats

Hats for the Pregnancy Crisis Center

October is for Pumpkins

This year has gone by quickly, now it's cold in Michigan. Yesterday I fell on the backdoor landing, hit my head, twisted my ankle n landed on my ass. My daughter took me to the hospital, the one she works at, they x-rayed my head, neck n back. I got a painful lump on the left side back of my head, n I hurt my muscles in my back. I got a closed head wound/mild concussion, thank god I didn't jar loose any of the bone chips from my LLw/fusion. I have a miserable headache n backache. Dr;s say should last bout a week. They gave me motrin pills. I can move around which is good. Cheri kept Nadia home, I miss her, but I needed the rest. I been sleepin off the pain meds n healing.
The other night I did some pumpkin baby hats for the Pregnancy Center. I decided that I can't do as much as I want, so /i settled on 3 things to concentrate on. 1. Local Pregnancy Crisis Center, the
AC4C yahoo group n the Cancer Treatment Center.
I'm gonna rest up.

October

October is a long month.. 31 days. I been busy the last couple weeks taking care of Nadia, stuff in the house and working on my projects. Right now I have a hat on the circulars', I completed 2 hat an scarf sets for AC4C, I have to mail. I also have a bag with 15 scarfs goin to the Church Project.
In my craft area there r 6 recieving blankets cut from flannel .. they need to b serged. I want to deliver a bag to the Pregnancy Crisis center by Tuesday.
This morning my girl Cheri picked me up bout 10:30am we went yard/garage sale-ing in her nice neighborhood. We made a killin on kids clothes for Nana n some stuff I had been lookin for too. Afterwards she made me supper, then dropped me off at the movie theatre, I went to c 'Whip It', by Drew Barrymore. I luv her work, but I luv ROLLER DERBY more!. In the 70's n on I have been a fan. That was my girlhood dream, wish it coulda happened. Go c the movie, it's fun.
I miss him, but I had to put a end to a phone friendship that was a waste of time n feelings. I won't say why, except, I have poor taste in men. Live n Learn.
I'm reading a book by Steve Harvey called "Act like a Lady, Think like a Man', it's funny and informative. I have a few more books in the reading group. I got a copy of the MetroTimes from my girl, it was full of ideas and info. So much goin on in the city(Detroit) n the surrounding area, if I had cash n a more dependable car, it would b hard for me to stay home. LOL.
Although I'm alone, I'm not lonely, n Life is pretty good right now.
